Artists Statement

Painting is one way to express my creative side.  I enjoy working in acrylic and mixed media on canvas.  As can be seen by some of the artwork I have included in this gallery, my work is varied and has a wide range which spans from real life to the very abstract.  I enjoy working with primary colors in many instances because I find them to be alive and vibrant. Sometimes I paint in an un-restricted frenzy incorporating bright colors on the canvas or other times with paint splatters on a blended background which I hope portrays the free and sometimes restricted chaos of the piece. Other times I like to create a soft or simple feeling in my art.  Periodically  I am drawn to the whimsical and from time to time I strive to create something clever using mixed media. When I make a painting, it is like creating a special something. Although it is hard to explain, each painting represents a moment in time when it was created. I love to create.  As a new and emerging artist, I hope you enjoy my creations.
