Artist Statement I have experience in computer generated graphic art for over 30 years, but I started exhibiting only in 2005. After that my works were exhibited at a number of international print and digital art exhibitions in Europe, America and Australia, and they are in several international public collections. They are also permanently exhibited in a number of university classrooms and laboratories, scientific institutes and information technology companies. I am a member of the Croatian Association of Artists and the ARTROM Gallery Guild based in Rome, Italy. My works belong to computer generated abstract, mostly geometrical art. They are generated by computer programs that transform my ideas into images. I use computer as a powerful tool and a partner in the creative process. I also use mathematics in my programs, not to visualize mathematical objects but rather as a tool that enables me to develop an idea I have about the work I want to create. One of my critics said: "There is a spirit in the machine, and Vlatko Ceric has freed it" (Preface for the Pixel Perfect: The Digital Fine Art Exhibition, Agora Gallery, New York City, 2007). All my works are titled, signed and numbered in a limited edition, and I use only archival paper and ink. My works can be viewed on my website www.vceric.net.
