Lida was born and educated in The Netherlands.

She has been painting full time since moving to Vancouver Island.

After more than 16 years in BC. She just recently moved back to Ontario

She has been a part time student for many years in Fine Arts

Lida's original work is textured using different materials and bold colors. Her abstract work is her "Soul" she says and each piece is an adventure.

She has participated in many exhibitions, received awards, published in newspapers, and television.

Her work can be found in Canada, United States and Europe.

Artist Statement:

Texture is a medium which can be manipulated and give freedom in creativity and ideas and with color it will add to the final touch.

Impressions, memories, and life experience is what I am and it is what you see in my work.

I do a lot of research which in turn give me a lot of ideas and inspirations.

I use the best material I can buy, so it will preserve for a long time to come.
