Artist Statement :

The first lessons presented to me during my art school days were always directed toward being aware of contemporary events, developing personal skills in drawing and expanding into preferred media, maintaining integrity of individual statements, being honest with yourself, and to constantly strive for excellence. My resulting works are representative of external influences during my life, such as meeting people, viewing different countries with other landscapes, cityscapes, and customs which are interesting, learning different languages in order to communicate and read, and to be able to inquire into various personal situations, beliefs, attitudes, philosophies, likes and dislikes, food, political concerns, and anything else which may arise. All of this, during the years of my work and teaching, has provided me with a lot of information, many fends throughout the world, my own personal style of art, a variety of technical information, humility, and awareness of excellence in artistic creativity.
