Artist Statement:
"Utilizing materials such as wood, poured stone, metal leaf
and patinas, I create wall pieces that reflect my appreciation of Asian art and
culture. My study of Confucius and his teaching of " human-heartedness" and Lao
Tzu's Taoist philosophy of simplicity, led me to the art of
calligraphy . In my interpretation of the traditional healing symbols,
this body of work represents my deep respect for the complexity of the psyche
and the need for the presence of spirit."
